This Sunday, June 26, Goochland Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services and the Goochland Sheriff’s Office will host the Virginia EMS Training Group and Fort Lee Fire and Emergency Services at the Goochland Middle/High Complex for the Tactical Emergency Casualty Care class. Sunday’s portion of the class at GMS/GHS will include simulated scenarios using volunteer actors from our community to provide a realistic training experience for participating EMS and law enforcement personnel.
This weekend’s class is part of ongoing collaborative training among Goochland County Schools, Fire-Rescue, and Sheriff’s Office to enhance safe practice, increase awareness, and improve in management of emergencies in our community.

Due to power outages and road conditions as a result of this evening's weather, our intersessions scheduled for tomorrow, Friday June 17 are canceled. We will resume with week 2 intersessions on Tuesday, June 21.

At our May School Board meeting, we recognized Larry Callahan of Manakin Auto and Towing for his service to GCPS transportation as our towing provider. Since he was unable to join us in May, we dropped by to present him his ECCHO award this morning. Thank you Mr. Callahan!
